On the 10th of March 2023, AirDAO Africa organized its first meet up in the Ashanti Region at 2:30 UTC. The program was held in Kumasi Danyame Hapaspace. The meet up consisted of about 35 people including AMB holders and newbies interested in crypto. The meetup was to strengthen the relationship between AirDAO and AMB holders. Discussions were done on how to spread the AirDAO product to the people close to us. Viable products that caught attention most and are easy to understand in our local area are staking. The community decided to prioritize that and speak to others about it. Community manager Seth Duodu took participants through how to load wallets with binance and moving tokens into metamask for staking.
The process was long and took a lot of practice to get it for a first timer. The community members are looking out to a volunteer to be a p2p facilitator to take out the Binance option. It was fun and a day to remember for first timers.
After the program the community grew in numbers and the people are willing to invest in the project.
In Africa, face to face communication is often more effective so I suggest we do more of this.
At the end of the program everyone was served with nice food from Hapaspace restaurant. It was really fun to meet and keep in touch with all AMB holders.
