In October 2023, DWF Labs invested $7.5m into the AirDAO ecosystem. Recently, the community discussed AirDAO’s treasury in our Telegram chat, suggesting that we diversify our holdings to earn a yield on our portfolio.
The AirDAO Council has discussed the proposal made by the community and has formed a consensus to invest a percentage of the treasury funds to achieve these desired outcomes. The AirDAO Council will use the profits generated to buy back AMB from the market and burn the bought AMB. The community will decide the frequency of the token burns. AirDAO will ensure transparency for the entire process. The community will be able to track the yield and confirm that all generated yield will be used to purchase and burn AMB. The AirDAO Treasury is held in our Gnosis Safe and is ready for deployment in DeFi protocols.
We want our community to comment on the initiative and vote on the percentage of our treasury that we should invest. The proposed amounts are 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. We will invest half of the chosen percentage into AAVE and the other half into Compound — two highly renowned DeFi protocols with a combined Total Value Locked (TVL) of $10.3b (AAVE TVL, Compound TVL).
Now, it’s time for our community to decide how to invest our treasury. Voting begins at 4 PM UTC on Sunday, January 14th, and ends at 4 PM UTC on Tuesday, January 16th.

For what it’s worth - my opinion is that this is a great move to utilise the treasury as currently the money is not making any yield. Further more burning of tokens bought back from the market is great for price stability and reducing the supply. A great step and thank you to the members who have continued to contribute their thoughts and ideas about burning as this has made us move a bit faster on the subject matter in council.

IMO, The project is striving best to deliver what a true DAO should be to us all.
I also feel the investment is a big deal. Rather than have the funds sleeping and not yielding anything on it.
I must commend the team of council members for thinking through this deeply and wanting to put It to vote.

0) We have audited Ethereum Tron BSC Arbitrum Avalanche Polygon Optimism for about 50+ protocols which allow us to use farming on treasury.
going out of ETH means extra risk on bridge + extra L1 risk. Whille some other chains have a little bit more apy, ETH is one of most reliable.
investing in ETH / BTC means trading and will need to have more precise monitoring and strategies. Do we want to long? leveraged long? 50x leveraged long? Portfolio? Short? Leverage short? - too much mooving parts - and should be done in scope of investment DAO later this year
AAVE and Compound have been on a market for a years and they have proved their reliability, while they maintain 5-10% apy.
Split between USDT / USDC will help us mitigate a risk on one stable
Split between AAVE / COMP will mitigate a risk of one protocol
Buy back will be every 1st day of month - preferably on DEX (uni / mantis )
Tokens will be either burn, or moved to MS for transparency

It’s a great move to utilize and yield returns on the treasury and most importantly the project been invested into are also great projects. We appreciate the efforts from the AIRDAO team
